This VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology is the ideal advanced vocational course for any budding or ambitious nail technician, seeking to gain a highly regarded qualification. This qualification is fully accepted for licencing purposes so you can open your own nail salon or take your career to the next leave as a nail salon manager. The course is also suitable for those without a previous Level 2 Nails qualification, as our tailored teaching methods can be adapted to support learners at any level - saving you both time and money.
On the Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology you will acquire all the skill and knowledge needed to offer outstanding treatments, manage or run your own business or to train others to excel in the industry. You will master technical skills including manicure and pedicures, nail art, nail enhancement using UV Gels, Acrylics and electric drills, alongside nail theory, sales and promotions, client care and business effectiveness.

This fast track course can be completed around your commitments making it the perfect choice for those wanting a good balance of classroom teaching and home learning.

Entry requirements:

  • No previous experience - you do not need a Level 2 Nails qualification to complete this course.
  • Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations
  • Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course

How long is the course:

  • 18 weeks
  • 10am - 8pm (1 day a week)
  • Maximum class size: 12 students

You will also be required to practice your skills and complete independent study outside of the taught sessions.

How will I be assessed:

  • Online theory tests
  • Observations and oral questioning
  • Practical assessments and assignments
  • Portfolio evidence to demonstrate your understanding. A portfolio of evidence must also be submitted as part of the assessment criteria

Do I need to bring a model

You will only need to bring a model for the practical assessments.
At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other.

What do I need to buy for this course

You will need to purchase a uniform and a a nail kit - the cost of the uniform is £15.00 and the cost for the nail kit is £95.00
Stationery including an A4 folder to hold for your portfolio evidence and course materials.

What can I do with this qualification?

There are so many options with this qualification. You can seek employment as an advanced Nail Technician, Salon Manager Freelancer or you can set up your own salon or mobile business. You could decide to take your qualification abroad and work internationally in a hotel or on a cruise ship. Or share your skills and become a lecturer at a beauty college.
The VTCT Level 3 in Nail Technology is a highly recognised qualification that is accepted across the UK for working in salons, nail bars, hotels and spas or as a freelance nail technician. As an internationally accredited qualification you can also work across the globe, on cruise liners or in other international beauty sectors.

  • Pay in full, plus £100 registration fee.
  • Pay 3 months interest-free: 1st payment 50% deposit, plus £100 registration fee. Then 3 x monthly instalments (other payment plans are available - contact us for more information)
