VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies
The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is a beauty therapy qualification. It is aimed at learners who don’t have a background in beauty therapy training but wish to get into the industry and progress on to levels 4 and above.
A combination of units from both level 2 and level 3 are provided to give the learner the understanding and knowledge they require to progress to level 4 and above. During the qualification, the learners will be taught about relevant health and safety requirements, anatomy, physiology and pathology and electrical science. They will also learn skin analysis and safe practice treatment protocols for facial skin care. As well as understanding how to consult clients, and provide relevant aftercare.
This fast-track course can be completed around your commitments making it the perfect choice for those wanting a good balance of classroom teaching and home learning.
You will also be required to do some home-based learning to practice your skills and complete homework as part of this course.

➖ Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations
➖ Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course
When does the course start?
➖ You can start the theory part of this course whenever you want. You will join te practical element of course in February in September.

➖ 4 weeks (1 day per week)
➖ 10am - 5pm
➖ Maximum class size: 12 students
How will I be assessed?
➖ Online theory tests (multiple choice)
➖ Observations and oral questioning
➖ Practical assessments and assignments
➖ Portfolio evidence
Do I need to bring a model?
No. However, you can bring a model for your practical assessments if you wish to. At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other.
What do I need to buy for this course?
➖ Stationery - notepad and pen
➖ Uniform - therapist tunic, black trousers and black flat closed toe shoes
➖ Equipment - whilst you are training with us, we provide all the products and equipment you will need for your practical assessments
What can I do with this qualification?
You can progress onto an aesthetics course or other beauty related courses with this qualification.
