VTCT Level 3 Award in Facial Electrotherapy
The VTCT Level 3 Award in Facial Electrotherapy is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop you practical skills in how to provide facial electrical treatments. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services. You will learn how to perform facial electrotherapy treatments including faradic, vacuum suction, microdermabrasion, micro current, Galvanic, micro lance and high frequency.
It covers the skills involved in providing a thorough consultation with the client to formulate a specific course of treatment tailored to individual client needs. The ability to provide relevant aftercare advice is also required.
This fast-track course can be completed around your commitments making it the perfect choice for those wanting a good balance of classroom teaching and home learning.
You will also be required to do some home-based learning to practice your skills and complete homework as part of this course.

➖ No previous experience required
➖ Good standard of English sufficient to complete the course competences and online examinations.
➖ Students must be over 16 years old to enrol on this course
When does the course start?
➖ The Level 3 Facial Electrical Therapy course starts every February and September.
How long is the course?
➖ 4 days (1 day per week)
➖ 10am - 5pm
➖ Maximum class size: 12 students
How will I be assessed?
➖ Online theory tests (multiple choice)
➖ Observations and oral questioning
➖ Practical assessments and assignments
➖ Portfolio evidence
Do I need to bring a model?
No. However, you can bring a model for your practical assessments if you wish to.
At all other times students will be expected to practice on each other.What do I need to buy for this course?
➖ Stationery - notepad and pen
➖ Uniform - therapist tunic, black trousers and black flat closed toe shoes
➖ Equipment - whilst you are training with us, we provide all the products and equipment you will need for your practical assessments
What can I do with this qualification?
You can seek employment as a Beauty Therapist, or you can progress onto our Level 4 Laser & IPL course.
This qualification that will enable you to work within the beauty sector in setting such as such beauty salons, spas, health clubs or in the retail sector or as a self-employed mobile therapist. You may even decide to progress within the lucrative aesthetics sector or use your internationally accredited qualification to work in hotels or cruise liners around the globe.
